 What's New for the 2018 Nissan Titan XD?

Available in three body styles and capable of pulling over 12,000 pounds, the 2018 Nissan Titan XD certainly holds its own among pickup trucks in its class. With the build of heavier truck and boost of an eight-cylinder engine, the Nissan Titan is a nimble and powerful mid-weight pickup truck. It's solid enough to feel safe and sturdy, but it's not too heavy to sacrifice all performance and driving excitement. Adding a bit of luxury and variety to the day's work routine, or driving anywhere for that matter, are comfortable Zero Gravity cabin seats. These luxurious cushioned seats are about the most comfortable ones that you'll find on the market. Another great feature of the Titan is that it can be outfitted with a variety of cargo beds to accommodate specific work and hauling needs. The 2018 model mirrors the 2017 edition with the exception that it is now available in a special Midnight Black package that's offered on select models. This custom package provides darker interior components and unique badges to give the Titan XD a more formidable and "truck-like" appearance.

There are three body styles available in the Titan XD, which are the single cab, crew cab, and king cab. You have three trim options to choose from with the single cab. This includes the base "S" model and a higher-end "SV",  both of which run on standard gasoline. The standard cab also comes with a diesel engine. The single cab has a towing capacity of up to 11,600 pounds and a maximum payload capacity of up to 2,910 pounds. The engine under the hood of the base model generates up to 390 HP and 394 LB-FT of torque. The diesel engine produces up to 310 HP and up to 555 LB-FT of torque. It has a maximum towing capacity of 12,030 LBS and a payload capacity of up to 2,420 LBS. The extended king cab is powered by an eight-cylinder engine that gives the truck a maximum towing capacity of 11,380 LBS. All cab styles come standard with a 4x2 drivetrain that can be swapped out for a 4x4 drivetrain for more demanding driving conditions.

As one would hope in a pickup truck designed to pull heavy loads, safety is a priority in the Titan XD. Passengers are kept safe with Nissan's intelligent mobility safety package, which offers blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, and a tire pressure monitoring system. There's also a backup camera that makes reversing, especially with a trailer in tow, much easier. To keep cargo safe during transportation, all trucks come with standard towing equipment. Additional trailer-specific safety technology, such as trailer sway control and drive-assist display, make towing safer.
