What's New for the 2019 Nissan Maxima?

Nissan's flagship sedan has received some great enhancements for the 2019 model year. The 2019 Nissan Maxima is retaining all of its power and performance capabilities that drivers love. However, aesthetic changes on the body and new styling options inside the cabin breathe some new life into this beloved car.

The most significant changes to the 2019 Maxima can be found on the front and rear ends. The grille has been redesigned to be more aggressive and sporty. The signature V-Motion grille is larger and extends lower on the front of the car. The new grille design is complemented by the wind-swept LED headlights. The LED technology is now standard on every single Maxima model. The headlights are angular and sleek, making the car look like its always in motion. Nissan's signature daytime running lights continue the aggressive aesthetic and create a unique appearance that is sure to turn heads. The front fascia has also been modified. It's a bit deeper than previous models and features sculpted lines to give the Maxima a high-performance look. In the back, you'll notice a new fascia design and integrated quad-tip exhausts. There are also new LED tail lights. For SR models, a new rear spoiler is available as well. Every trim level is also getting updated wheel designs. There are five unique designs that measure 18 and 19 inches in diameter. As for color, the new 2019 model is now available in Sunset Drift, bringing the total exterior finish options up to seven.

SR and Platinum models are also getting some great interior changes. The Maxima SR is available with an all-new interior trim option. You can get the seats covered with plush leather and microsuede material. These two materials are combined for comfort and style. Orange accent stitching and the iconic SR logo are used to add some flair to the car's sport-style seats. If you choose to get a Platinum build, you have the option to get new Rakuda tan seats. These seats are covered in semi-aniline leather and feature quilted inserts for maximum comfort. These two builds also have new package upgrades. For the SR, the new Premium Package adds a panoramic moonroof, an auto-dimming side mirror on the driver's side door, a seat position memory system, and the Intelligent Around View Monitor system. For the Platinum model, the Reserve Package includes heated rear seats, Satin Bronze interior accents, the new Rakuda Tan seats, and attractive Charcoal-colored panels.

Nissan has also made some changes to the available safety packages available for the 2019 Maxima. The Safety Shield 360 system is now standard on all Platinum builds. It's also available as an upgrade for SR models. This system includes 10 airbags, front and rear automatic emergency braking, automatic high-beam lights, and blind-spot monitoring, among other things. Each 2019 Nissan Maxima is now equipped with a rear-door alert system, a driver attention monitor, and USB type-C charging ports for all your electronics.
