What's New for the 2019 Nissan Titan?

The new 2019 Nissan is one of the few full-size pickups that get the basics right. When it comes to pickups, people don?t often talk about the non-American manufacturers. The Nissan has been one of the top-selling foreign cars in North America for the last decade or so. Trucks are ingrained in the American psyche and rightfully so, it makes sense if they?re don?t focus on non-American brand. However, the 2019 Nissan is just as competitive and comes with a spacious cab and plenty of power to boot.

Exterior

The Exterior design is based on the F-Alpha Platform. The design was created at Design America and focuses on improving the aerodynamics while incorporating a front spoiler. There is also new tailgate spoilers, roof, and rear tire wind deflectors. It also comes with an active wheel shutter that helps in reducing the drag as it closes the grille opening behind the radiator.

There is a standard 5.5 footbed for the basic model and an 8.0 footbed for the single Cab offer. Other features you might find attractive include the flush-mounted LED bed rail lighting, tailgate & cargo lamps. The truck is available in 11 colors which include: Java Metallic, Forged Copper Metallic, Magnetic Black Metallic, Brilliant Silver Metallic, Gun Metallic, Cayenne Red Metallic, Pearl White (premium color), Glacier White, Deep Blue Pearl Metallic and new Midnight Pine Metallic and Moab Sunset Metallic (premium color).

Performance

You won?t get a sluggish version of the 2019 Nissan Titan. The two V-8 engines are just enough to provide thrust and handling needed in a full-size truck. You will find most of the trims having a 5.6-liter V8 engine that can produce up to 390-HP pulling 94 lb-ft of torque. The engine works great with a 7-Speed automatic for quick acceleration while being accompanied by a throaty exhaust.

If you want to save money, you can opt for the Titan XD which 5.0 V8 engine that can output 310-HP. It should be noted that the engine is built by Cummins and not Nissan. The TX can tow up to 12, 800 pounds. You should expect to pull around 12,000 pounds with cab crew configurations.

In theory and in practice, the turbodiesel charged XD makes for better towing compared to the gas-fueled V-8 engine. The rear-wheel comes as standard on the Titan. Depending on the trim, you should get part-time or full-time four-wheel as an option which is recommended if you will be using the truck to tow a lot. The four-wheel system is easily controlled by a knob. The ride is steady and comfortable even when you go off-road.
